Plastic injection mold maker/programmer and department manager.
Now most tools are fabbed in Ch!n@. Project manager for them.
good to be employed. sucks to not be building them.
Government is sooner or later going to have to realize manufacturing (and only manufacturing) is the key thing that will turn the economy around and sustain it for the long haul...

nothing now.. ferkin disability... but was an ASE certified tech for 18 years Master status the last 8 or so years of that (was afraid to take the last 2 tests I needed for "master" I didnt know if I'd pass; I probably coulda had "master" a few years earlier) but as an alignment and brake guy auto trans and Engine Performance wasnt that important since we didnt get into that anyway.
In Jan.'05 I got a helluva break got into indistrial maint. in a steel mill. huge pay raise for me. Unlimited OT.
then Sept 07 had a chainsaw kick back on me in my own front yard almost lost my rt foot above the ankle. have not worked since. Now a self-weather forecaster; I wish this snow thats coming would get here and get over with, so I'd quit hurting. (knees/ankle) actually it would be nice if the snow missed us completely.

Problem was, keeping our parts suppliers on spec. They would typically substitute inferior materials at some point to increase THEIR profits, or run their machine tools and dies beyond specified lifetime. This is where we had quality issues with customer complaints. We take the heat for someone elses greed. Ford really does have high standards.
