When I Die...
Yesterday we buried my Mother's cremated remains. At the luncheon afterward while we were relaxed and joking my boys told me what they plan to do with my remains.
They will have me cremated, take my ashes to a welding elecrode manufacturer to have them added to the coating.
They will then have "me" welded into my Dodge.
I thought it was beautiful.
What do you think?

Sorry about your mum,
I flew from Australia to Africa to scatter my dad’s ashes inthe African bush. That was his dying wishes. In his passing i figured out whyhe wanted me and my 2 brothers to scatter his ashes. It had nothing to do withhim wanting that to be his resting place as he was a religious man and hebelieved his soul would be in haven and didn’t care about his bodies restingplace. The reason he wanted us to do the trip to Africa was to strengthen the 3brother’s friendship and to make us closer to each other. It worked. A fewyears later my brothers, 1 from brazil, one from the other side of Australiaand myself all are living within a few miles of each other and see each otherevery week. Whatever your kids do it will be a great healing process for themafter your gone. Every man needs his dad. After years I still miss him.
I tell my 2 boys every day how i feel about them.

Thank you for your thoughts. I'm a lucky man as all my sons get along, we work on cars together and have a usual Sunday supper together. It's not always been like this but since my Dad died a few years ago things changed. The boys are more mature and responsible, which makes him happy as we feel he's right there working along side us.
