Wicked - what does it mean?
If someone says "wicked" to you, does it mean a bad thing or a good thing?

People in New England say "wicked" and it means awesome, great, super, etc. It seems like everywhere else on the planet it means something bad.

I keep hearing people say that it must be a New England thing. Or its a New England and young person thing.

I'ts all about the context in which it was used:

"That was a Wicked bad Hemi Superbird!" = GOOD

"That was a Wicked bad smelling fart man," = BAD

.......well hell's bell's loretta, of course 'wicked' is one them New England things. Comes from having all them witches and goblins and such. Do we gotta 'splain to ya how the cow done ate the cabbage....ya'll new englander's are nuttier than granola bars....

Nutter and granola bars? hell! I love my steak still kicking and my beer stonger than my coffee. And yes we still have witches and goblins and fruitcakes...... lol.

i wish we had witches and goblins over here in the Adirondacks. just deer, bear, coyotes and other lil critters. but i assume squirrels and porcupines taste better than witches and goblins.

They normally are unless you get a young one.

Witches in their 20s and 30s are great. the older ones are just tough. lol
