A Body Newbie but an Oldie
A Body Newbie but an Oldie
First car was a '68 Dart, regretted selling it, but it was ugly as an outhouse. Second was a '64, Plymouth Valiant barn find with 40K. Loved it. Sold it and immediately regretted it. Along came the Aspen Station wagon. Lovely car, but it was my grandfather's type of car. Sold it and regretted it. Fourth was a barn find Mirada. Beautiful car, sold it, immediately regretted it. Got a junkyard Mirada, fixed it up, but it kept stalling and shutting down, probably because of all the crummy emission control stuff, and couldn't find anyone who'd work on it. Sold it—immediate regret, particularly when I found out a fuel injection system would have corrected all that. Now, I got this 1960 Valiant- paid tons for a bumper-to-bumper restoration. Striving to keep it all original. Painted it with a little custom flair to give the autobody a little latitude.
