Giday from the Maritimes
I am a recent member and Mopar faithful. When I was a kid our family car
was a 68 Roadrunner, sure enough I was hooked. Back then many people
drove their unknowing collectables in winter, studded tires and all. Dad
traded this car for a Demon in 71 because of rust spots.
In 2000 I found him a black 68 GTX numbers matching car needing
restoration. It has weird color combo, peacock blue stripes and white &
blue interior. Does anybody know about these baby blue stripes ?
Anyway it was put on a rotisserie and got the full Monty.
Needless to say he doesn't drive that in the mud & snow.
I received a call a few months after requiring dads car from my same
buddy telling me he found another one. This one was mismatched.
It had a 72 400, 69 rear with 4.10's , slipping tranny and electrical
problems but good body, perfect for me.$ It now has a 78 440,
HD 727 - 68 Dana with 3.54's and runs great - 13.98 @ 99.6.
I also have a 79 Roadrunner but that's another story.
Glad to be one of you.
