i am planing on doing a custom resto. first of which is power brakes then up grading to disk brakes in the front. the coclor is going to be green. and possibly flat black the hood or paint it the same color as the body but use a flat clear coat. and possibly add a header and a few other mods but nothing over the top.

my first step is to do all of the bady prep starting with the inside pull the seats then sand the floor pans to get rid of all of the rust thn pro15 the floors. then find some vinyl and recover the seats.

me either. i plan on taking everything off that i can when i get ready to paint it. the doors front fenders the engine and all of the wiring. my plan is to paint it a sublime green pearl. from duplicolor. we sell the ready to use quarts at work so all i need to do is get a spray gun and the paint after i get all of the body work done. anybody know how many quartsit will take to cover the car inside and out? also the inside is going to be a darker green like a forrest green. and i'm thinking of doing a custom dark green stipr on the outside as well.

The radio being first was a great choice! Nothing better than good tunes when your pullin wrenches. Welcome, and thanks for sharing the pics. I love to look!

i left the factory am radio in place just can't bring my self to cut up the dash so i just attached the radio to the ac vent under the dash. the plus side is when the radio is off and teh facplate pulled you can't even tell it is there.

i just got a repair manual yesterday. bought some new front brake shoes and drums today. hopefully they will be in tomorrow. had to special order them through work. next week i am going to replace the front brakes and work on the floor pans. i plan on using a roll on bed liner to help protect them and also seal up the leaks around the bents and wiper arms this next week while i am on vacation. i may repaint the rims as well.
