Hello from Seattle
Hi everyone, my name is Scott and I live in Seattle. I am 47 and do building maintenance at a hospital. I have never owned a real muscle car, unless you count my first car, which was a 1971 Dodge Polara 2 door, hunter green. It was a beater when I got it and even worse when I sold it. It had a 360, 727 Torqueflight, and 2 broken motor mounts
Recently I have found myself reminiscing about yesteryear, old cars, and what life might have looked like before I came along. I have become fascinated with the old 4 door cars and wagons, the cars that families would have owned. I saw a '67 Coronet 4 door for sale on Craigslist some time ago and I can't get it out of my head. I started saving for such a car a while back and in the meantime, I keep looking and now I am learning what I can about them.
The one I first saw that I really loved was navy blue and had a 383/727 package. The seller didn't say whether or not this was stock. Since then it seems that every one I have seen has a 318 in it. So my question is, what different engine/transmission packages came in the Coronet 4 door in 1967? A 66 might be okay as well, as it has the same body lines, correct? My dad had a '67 2 door R/T when I was a baby, so that would be the year of choice for me, but I am not stubborn about it. Thanks in advance
