Hello from vermont

HI.I just bought an old ford truck and hope to find some info on the chrysler 383 in it.Cool site with lots of good info

Welcome and be advised, the 383 is arguably the best, most reliable, and easily upgraded engine Mopar ever made. I just love my original, 2 bbl. 383 in my '64 Polara 500, it makes 305 HP and uses only premium fuel, and that is stock original.

Welcome to the forums from another Vermonter! (I'm originally from Island Pond.) So what insane individual put a Mopar engine into a Ford?

Thanks for the reply.Im in Bennington .As for the motor thats the way I bought it.The add said chevy stroker 383.I wanted a doable project for cheap and I was lucky to find it.Than the guy says by the way its a chrysler not a chevy.SOLD!I dont think it would have lasted a day if the add said mopar 383.

You're right about the motor not lasting a day, those are almost impossible to find these days. Anyone who has them and knows what they've got don't normally let them go easy. Congrats and welcome again to the forum!
