Hey there. I'm new. [If that's original.]
Hey, I own a '73 Plymouth Duster. I have a 225 Slant 6 in it, but I think I want a 318 or a 340 in it. It will just be a daily driving car. I don't plan on racing it, ever. It was my great grandma's car. I just want something that sounds nice. So, should I just keep the 225 or upgrade to a 318 or 340?
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Well, I plan on making it a show car. I'm going to completely restore it. Although, I do want a bit of power in it. The car is like my family heirloom. My great grandma gave it to my grandpa. My dad left me before I was born, so, my grandpa gave me the car because I'm joining the Marine Corps here soon and its a going away present. Its a bit torn up because the car used to be in Michigan and they salt their roads. I want to restore this car before my grandpa passes away. This way he'll be able to see it how it used to be.

Sounds to me that just restoring it in its original form is what your after right now. If the 6 cylinder runs good just do a make over on the motor. If you ever become more interested in adding power to the car the 340 4 speed clutch is the way too go. I had one with a 340 4 speed not much around could touch it.You would have to build the rear end up a bit though cause you just have the light 6 cylinder rear in it now.

if you want a 4bbl carb clifford and offenhauser have some good pieces. if you want go mild, the factory 2bbl slant manifold is a good setup.
