Ok my name is Geoffrey and I am 17 and looking at buying a 1969 Road Runner from a guy for $4000. So I thought I would sign up here and learn some stuff about mopar and do some research. It is a original A/C car with a 383 and a 727 it has lots of cancer and has been sitting out side with the rear window out. but the car was stripped and has a nice coat of peimmer on the floors, their is no rust on the floor pans. I was wondering if you guys think this car is worth the money I really like it and I know it is going to need lots of work. The main decider will be if the frame is rusted or not. What would you guys do with the car if you bought it? what engine combination do you guys recomend? I want it to be able to go fast and smoke all of the fords and chevy's.

well, I would say the price is too high. without pictures, it is difficult to say, but for 4k I would expect a vehicle with minimal rust, a non running engine, an interior that is OK at best, pretty much a good starting project.

If the vehicle is complete and not missing any parts, it MAY be worth your money to invest, however it is really dependant upon how much you want it. I would move on to a different project however.
