horn problem

I have a 1971 duster with the ralle dash. I am trying to get the horn working but am not sure if I have the wiring right to the relay. Does anyone have a picture showing the wires going to the relay? Should I Be using a 3 or 4 channel relay? Than
ks!

I'm not sure I have the correct diagram. I only have shop manuals for 70 and 72, and the "MyMopar" diagrams show 71 is same as 70. 72 should have a 4 pin relay that is part of the key buzzer. The drawing I posted is for 70, so if yours is 3 terminal, that is probably it. I don't understand how you can "hook it up wrong" because it should simply plug into the harness

So you should have:

H2-16DGN/R, that is a no 16 DARK GREEN/ RED tracer, goes off, through the bulkhead, to the horns

H1-16V (no 16 VIOLET) should be hot at all times, comes from the battery

H3-18BK (no 18 BLACK) is incorrectly called GND. It goes to the horn button, and IS grounded when you push it, but not normally.

So you should be able to plug it in, and check for power at the middle terminal, then ground the end terminal on the bottom and get the horns to work, or at least cause the relay to click.

There's your answer, the '71 Duster never came with a ralley dash, it was only available in the Demon 340 in '71. That means someone has been playing with the electrics in that car and at that point anything goes... If it was done with the correct dash harness, the '70-'71 ralley diagram should work, otherwise it's anyone's guess.
