I bought a 67 Barracuda, 383 - 4 Barrel - 4 Speed - Formula S Package, new in 1967 when I got out of the Navy. 29 years (and 5 kids) later I sold it to a friend for his 14 year old daughter to complete the restoration that I had started. Unfortunately, without consulting me, he sent it to the crusher due to a rusted frame! I'm still crying over that - and have never forgiven him! :-) I also watch Barrett-Jackson when I need a good cry!!!383 is probably the most recurring theme in my life. Passwords, email, etc. etc all contain 383 somehwhere. I'm now having a 1923 T-Bucket custom built for me. The standard engine is a Chevy 350 but I'm having them put in a 383. The car should be done in mid-June and I'll post pictures when it is...

Thanx. And thanx for the cars for sale info. I'd give my right arm (and, joyfully, my first-born male child) to get my car back from the crusher. I'd also give my right arm to be be ambidextrous, but that's a different story... Not interested in buying another car, escpecially since I've already started my 23 T-Bucket project w/ a 383...

Welcome ot the forum... I share your love for the Barracuda.. Mine is a original Formula S 383 car. 1968 model... Now has a 451" Indy head race motor but could be converted back to a street machine with little work.... But just having too much fun racing it!!!!

78D200 asked if I had any pictures. I'm getting ready to digitize several thousand 35mm slides and came across a few, which I just added to my album in the Members section... Enjoy! I DID !!!!

Sounds like something I'd do. I remember seeing a picture of a 30 something Plymouth Hot Rod, Big Block with cross ram manifold and the carbs sticking out farther than the hood. It looked wicked cool and soooo Mopar. Make sure you do something so people don't ask if it's a Furd because it's got the distributor in front. There are a bunch of cars I wish I could have back. Welcome from Canada.
