New to the forum

Hi,
I used to be a Mopars Hawaii Forum but they shut down.
I've got a 70 Dodge RT numbers matching JS23V that I am finishing up after a complete make over.

I posted a message on the general tech questions that I need help on. If anybody can help me with this I would be very grateful. I will post pictures of my car as soon as the stripes are put back on. In the mean time I'm glad to be here and looking forward to hearing from you guys.

pictures

Here are some pictures.
The one with the black hood is how I bought the car in 1974.
The picture without the stripe is how it looks now. The stripes will be back on when the paint cures.

Thanks,
The color is the original. Does anyone know if the hood came flat black?
I looked all over and cannot find a original shaker that wasn't the same color as the body. The flat black was on pretty good but when I sanded it off there was yellow under it

No, the hood should be body color. the shaker depending on production date will be Argent or Black.

Good,
I'll keep the hood the same as the body. It just seems like it needs a bit more black than the R/T stripes. But I guess I'm used to the black hood.
Since I want to keep it original....Yellow hood it will be. The shaker scoop was black when I bought it but I repainted it Argent.
Thanks Guys for all the input. I know I'll have a lot more questions as I complete the car.
