New guy with an 88

hey, i just got my truck in today and i love it already, it needs some work to get it on the road again (exhaust stuff) but other than that its in great shape for an 88

thought i'd say hi from midland ontario

im not sure what engine is in it though...i know its a V6 but it was swapped out some time in the mid 90's and i have no idea how to find out which engine it is...would help to know so i can work more confidently on it and get parts if i need too, any ideas?

more specifically, i cant tell if its the earlier LA V6 engine or the later Magnum series V6

Most likely it is a TBI 239 CI 3.9L V6. This is the pre-Magnum V6.

Some things changed between the pre-Magnum motors and Magnum motors. If order for this to be a Magnum motor, someone would of had to swap in the wiring harness for the MPFI along with the computer and would have done some harness splicing.

Nice truck, and nice photo. It seems to have a "heavenly glow" about the truck.

the heavenly glow i think is fingerprints on my cell phone lense :P

but yes definitely needs some 440 power behind it, but that's years away, i have a second car im working on at the moment and i need to get that one finished first

right now im just trying to keep this one on the road

lol crazy, well I have to say thats the best lookin delta Ive ever seen, in fact it be the only good lokin delta I ever saw. welcome to the site ,glad your here. very nice truck. I like the dash layouts in that style dodge truck.
