Hello im Mike im from way upstate ny wherethe salt rusts out all the carfs :/ anyways im new to dodge ive all ways been around chevy oand some ford. I had a 68 dodge dart gt when i was 15 and wish i would of kept and my dad had a 69 dodge charger 383 auto miss that too.
Well i picked up a 1985 Dodge Diplomat 2day its a real clean car body wise for being a north car its got the 318 w/3spd auto power/ac/cruise/tilt/and continental spare wheel on the back wich is coming off. it has 83k original miles. new tires i paid $1700 and drove it home.

Welcome!

If it's a 3spd auto then it will be either a 904 or a 727. GEars in teh rear axle could be anywhere from 2.72 to 3.55 (I can't see any numerically higher gear in it but I could be wrong). For the front suspension, all I've got is IFS (lol).

Well, if it looks like a torsion bar, then it must be a torsion bar, and there better be two of them under there...

Welcome to the madness.

What part of "way upstate"? I spent many summer nights in the Saranac Lake/ Tupper lake region.
