Overdue to Sign Up!
Good Morning, this is Bob Ashton checking in.
I have been a lurker for some time now, and am long overdue to jump in.
I am a former Show Manager for Championship Auto Shows, Inc, (the Autorama and World of Wheels people) and I was also the Show Manager for the Chevy Vettefest in Chicago, but don't hold that against me!
I am the owner of a 73 AMC Hornet, (mild custom/slammed) that has a 390 backed with a 727. You may have seen me at the Mopar Nationals?
I grew up in a Chrysler family, as my Father was a VP for 30+ years. I grew up surrounded by awesome Mopars, many super rare ones!
I have owned 30+ Chrysler products, including a 70 Challenger R/T convertible, a 67 GTX convertible, a 71 Challenger, a 70 340 Cuda and well...you get the idea.
I am a long time participant of the Mopar Nationals, as a midway vendor (Auto Know) and the sponsor of the Mopar Nationals Model Car Contest.
I am also excited to be a part of the launch of a new all indoor mixed make Muscle Car show in the Chicago area, The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, November 21-22, 2009. www.mcacn.com
I will post about that later, but I figured I would introduce myself first so that you don't think I am some cheeseball promotor trying to edge my way in!
Thanks;
Bob Ashton
