Posting avatars and pictures

if you have windows then right click the photo, click on edit and it should bring you to paint. go to image, go down to stretch/skew, then type in a % number for both horizontal and vertical. make sure that they are the same number though. then save the pic and try to post it. I have a 17" flat screen so normally I make the pic about 1.5"x1.5" and save it.

after the last pic just save it how you want and you should be able to post it as your icon/avatar. you might need to make it a little smaller though. I hope this helps you out.

Here is how to post pictures in posts as well.

Sign up for an account on photobucket, its free and what I use. Once you are signed up, go to Photobucket's website and sign in. It will bring you to your main album page. At the top of the page you'll see an area to download the pictures. It will say "Upload pictures & videos". You click on "choose files" and then just find the pictures that you want to up load from your computer, disk, or flashdrive. Once you have found the ones that you want, you just click on The photo that you want and it will automatically upload the picture. Once you have then loaded on there, you want to copy and paste the "IMG Code" (it is the fourth code under the piture) to the post you are writing. The picture should post up once you hit "Submit Reply".

Here is another way how you can "attach" your pics to a post/thread.

You will need to click on teh "Post Reply" button. This will allow you to have full edit of your post. You will need to make sure that the "Additional Options" tab is open under your "Reply to Thread" tab. You will want to click on the "Manage Attachments" button. This will allow you to attach many different files.

Next, click the "Browse" button. This will allow you to choose any file that you have on your computer, flash drive, disc, etc.

Then a window will pop up and you can pick what file you want to upload.

After that, click the "Upload" button.

The file that you want to upload should be shown under where it says "Current Attachments". You can now attach another file or close out of this window.

After that, you should see the file under where it says "Attach Files". You can write your post before of after doing all of this.

You should be able to see the file that you just attached as shown in this pic.

You can click on the file then and it should open up.

If you are on your phone, you have to click on "full site" in order to post pics.

I've sent a message to the tech guys to see if there is a way to post pics on the mobile site.

I find a great deal of humor in the avatars pictures on the different forums and try to imagine what the posters really look like. I'm not sure if they pick that picture because they idolize the individual or if they are of low self esteem and feel using a celebrities picture will give others the impression their someone that they really aren't. I once came across a post where the poster used a picture of Einstein as his avatar. After reading his input to various posts I soon realized that this guy was a "village idiot" and a lawnmower was way more complicated than he could handle. Yes, I would like to see in person (or talk for that fact) to the many avatars I interact with on forums but then again maybe that's the intrigue of doing conversation in this manner.

Hello,

I am one of the newbie's here, just joined a few days ago and so far I like it a lot except for trying to load pictures. I got a question, I want to post one picture at a time. I go to the upload picture button next to the smiley face, and I hit Browse Your Device. I click on my picture and it loads BUT only to 90% and stops. Why is that, could you please help me out?

Thanks and Best Regards.

Most likely your picture is to big. Take it to paint and make it smaller then upload here.
