Synronizing a distributor
How do you schronize a distributor without a DRB scan tool? I want to take the distributor out of my 1994 Dakota with a 3.9 engine but am not sure how to get it back in correctly.I believe that the engine must be set at a specific number of degrees past TDC on #1 but I don't know the exact procedure any help would be appreciated.

if it doesn't say on the emissions sticker then there should be something about it in a service manual. I'm not sure what the proper degree is but you can always install it when cylinder 1 is at TDC and adjust it from there.
