What color is my car!

Hey all-
I'm trying to find some touch up paint to address a few chips & scratches on my paint and am a bit confused as to how to find out what color it is.
pics here:
https://moparforums.com/forums/f4/mo...-66-belv-2831/

Obviously it's not the original color. Now I'm going on the assumption they painted it a Mopar color. Does anyone recognize whay color it might be?
I was looking at automotive touch up paint . com site, and they have a burnt orange paint listed. Unfortunately, no paint chips online. Nothing else from '69 - '73 sounds even remotely close. Any ideas?
Plan B will be to go to the local Dodge dealer and hope that the parts guys has some paint chips.....????

Also question on interior paint color
Looks to be black. If so, should it be gloss, satin, flat.......referring to inside doors and dash face.
Curiously, the color there now kinda looks like black, or maybe a really dark blue????? I'm wondering if the black color started to "blue" a bit over time, or it really was that color.

Thanks in advance

Hey JT, do you think it's an original colour ? If so the "bright red" would be the ticket, there is also a couple of other reds it could be. Check your fender tag and the last numbers in the bottom right hand side will be your paint colour that the car came with.

Hey guys-Thanks for the replies.
I can tell you that the fender tag reads SS1 B
I assumed it wasn't original based upon my interpretation of the paint codes, but I very well may be wrong.....
It's definitely between a red and orange...

JT if you have a PPG guy near you they may have the scanner, it might not be a Mopar colour. I am curious though as to the trim code off your fender tag, it's the one just before the paint code. I have a sneaky suspicion your car may have been cream colour.

Polaradude-
Trim code is H4X
I also thought it might have been originally cream based upon what I found searching online. I was never really sure though....

Hey JT, to be 100% the colour would be " soft yellow " and the H4X is the black vinyl interior code. If it was Dodge the SS1 would be cream, exact same colour but Plymouth called it soft yellow.
Cheers

Would I be any less of a man if I admitted that I actually (perhaps secretly) liked the soft yellow!!???
Now, my wife calls it "old guy" yellow or "alternative-lifestyle"-guy yellow!!!!
She likes the orange/red better. Nothing like having your wife bust your stones about cars!

Welcome and i would just take it to your local car store that sells paint and they will be able to match it up with a tag or something small you can take into the store and if they are any good should be able to mix you up a pint or so but i would keep the color as it looks good

update

Well- as luck would have it......
I decided to drop in at the Pep Boys near where I work to see their selection of touch up pencils, since all the local car joints around me (Autozone, etc.) had lousy selections. Pep Boys selection wasn't much better......But then the engine (spray) paints caught my eye.
I bought 2 that I thought looked close for the hell of it, Chrysler Hemi Orange and Chrylser Red. Well the Hemi Orange isn't close, but the Chrysler red looked close at first glance. I tested it on a chip inside the engine compartment by spraying the paint in a plastic dish and used a small paint brush to apply..... and wouldn't you know, it's an exact match!
I'll give it a whirl next week on the other spots and see what happens.

Awesome resource

Go here...

http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/

It's a cool site that not only SELLS AWESOME PAINT and has VERY knowledgable staff, but you can input your make/year/model and get to see the paint chips on pretty much anything from 1930 to 1996.

So, I bet you can do a close match viewing the actual PPG/Ditzler paint chips; they display nicely with a zoom function. This place can mix your stuff, but so can most other places these days too with the right codes anyway.
