Question ABS problem

The ABS light came on in my 99 Cirrus. My code scanner wont read ABS faults. Is there a way to troubleshoot the system without a dealer?

Nevermind, found the flexible line at the wheel had collapsed, acting like a bad caliper.

well, we both learned some thing here, pass it on. If you have a bad caliper, crack the bleeder. If the caliper retracts , its not the caliper. Check the flexible brake line, they do go bad.

FYI, the line did not go bad. The clamp that holds the line in place corroded, and the rust came in layers, and slowly crimped the brake hose! Pedal pressure will get the fluid past, but it wont go the other way! Big heads up cause heard this is also a Neon issue on front calipers.
