Warning!! Dont Buy From Jim's Auto Parts! They Dont Stand Behind Their Products!

I agree, they do not stand by their products. I bought a 2 speed wiper motor from them for my 67 Barracuda. They sent me one for a 69 which is totally different. I called them and they refused to even acknowledge they had the wrong part number. I sent it back, they refused to pay the $50.00 shipping charge. I also bought a bypass hose for 20 bucks. When I got it they had changed the price to 50 bucks without my approval. Every time I call them they seem very confused, their computers are down (I am not even sure they have computers), or they can't make decisions due to their "policies".
I won't use them again.

They are notorious for screwing people in as many ways as possible. On the bigger Mopar boards, such as dodgecharger or moparts, there are a few threads a month about someone they have screwed yet again. Not sure how they have managed to stay in business this long. Anyone familiar with Mopars and the popular parts sources for them knows enough to avoid them like the plague- it must be the newcomers that manage to keep them afloat.

This is the part of thier Pricing I like. All prices, part numbers and availability of parts on this site are subject to change (call the buyer first) without notice. Parts superseded will be shipped automatically. The price of the superseded part may differ from the ordered part. If a return is desired due to cost of supersedence, no handling/restocking charge will apply.
I like that you can order a part and between the day they take the order and confirm the order the price is raised by the time it's delivered. You wait for a part and find out they raised the cost and gave you a cheap or wrong part is BS.
Subject to change without notice 1. They have no idea of thier prices, 2. People taking orders are screw-ups 3. RIPOFF for profit company
They won't get any of my bussiness. I have had good luck with the Paddock and Year One on buying items. They are more organized

I ignore their e-mails that they still send to me. I bought the same crappy defrost hoses but I made mine work. Here's what I don't like about them. One time after buying a crappy REM windshield gasket from Year One I decided to call Jim's to see if they carried another brand. The lady that was assisting me refused to get off her butt and go see. Needless to say they suck in my book also.

wow!!!!! nice cars good parts are a must you only want to spend your hard earned money once on a restoration. i have used year one with no issues and no bull return on parts that did not meet expectations.
somtimes we take a chance on parts normally suppliers are acurate on the quality of the resoration parts but i have had occaision to return parts for either better parts or full refund that is the mark of quality suppliers
i will research the best supliers i have used and try to post them

glad to know to stay away from them people. I like to get some stuff from mancini and hugesengines but would be nice to find a good site for aftermarket parts besides sheetmetal(AMD metal isnt to bad).

Jim's Mopar Parts...BUYERS BEWARE!
Jim's Mopar Parts is a rip-off business! They told me they had both of my parts in stock and when I got their shipment there was only one part in the box. I called them to see why the other part wasn't in there and she(wild-woman) commenced to give me a hard time as if I was bothering her. I asked her if and when the other part would arrive and she again went through the roof once again and said that she didn't know. I asked her if I was going to be charged another shipping charge and she answered "yes". I told her that if she had called me to let me know that both parts weren't in stock and would be shipped separately I would have asked them to hold the one item until the other came in and then ship both; that would save me the additional charge. Well, then the "fireworks" really went off and she got louder and louder. This pushed my button to the point that it turned into a shouting match...then she hung-up on me. I will never buy from this business again for anything!! People like this should NOT be in any kind of a business!

more thievery via "Jim's Mopar"
I should have read this blog first! It would have saved me over $100 - thisstory is bad. I ordered brake lines from Jim's last week - every single part #I asked for was 8-10 bucks more than the prices shown on the web site... ok Ithought, maybe the prices went up, I get that these days.. $232 later I hadfinished with the part #'s - "so, how much is shipping?" I asked -they replied, "not sure, but it won't be too bad" - thinking I hadgotten an ok deal and supported a "local" business (I live in NewEngland) - I agreed and hung up. Two days later I see a pending transaction for$261 - so about $30 for shipping, not bad, just like they said. My orderarrived on the exact day they said it would (though I never did get an emailwith a tracking #) - so far, so good. And now the hit - far from being shipping "direct", this box was fromRightStuffDetailing - seemed odd.. and then I discovered I am missing a $40part... and this is where it all came apart. Of course I called Jim's -"oh, we forgot to order that part, but you weren't charged for it..""so the 260 bucks is for the parts I did get and shipping?""Yes" "so shipping was 70 dollars!?" "yes". (Jimsis just under 2hrs. from me) Here's where it gets really good - I calledRightStuffDetailing and THEY had MY information - they even looked up "my"order by my zip code and told me who I was - they went through my order with me, the total for parts ordered for meby Jim's -$120. And it was true, the $40 part was not ordered - Jim's AutoParts are thieves - through and through - 100% - no two ways about it. Easymath - I got charged $261 for $120 worth of parts.. and RightStuffDetailingdoesn’t charge for shipping…
it's so nice to be able to just throw $$ away... A$$#OLE$!

I also had a bad experience with this company.
$5 each for OE lug studs. Bout 10 right side studs.
They sent me standard $2 Dorman studs and charged me $20 for shipping.
$20 shipping for a padded envelope!
I sent them back via FedEx for $3.50
They wouldn't refund my shipping even though they clearly were not the correct OE studs then claimed that I only returned 9 of the 10.
never again
