transmission troubles
I have 2005 Caravan. It recently came out of the dealership after having the steering gear box replaced. The next day I noticed the transmission noise. At slow speeds, 25mph or less, braking heavily there is a loud growling/ whining sound. It can be felt through the pedal as well as the floor boards. It does not do this all the time, but its to random to pin point. I took it back into the dealership and got it to do it again for the tech. He put it up on the rack and was able to duplicate it once again. The techs are at a loss. Can anyone help with this issue.

Any leaks? Fluid condition? I know that body style had leaks at the hoses and the solenoid pack on the front end of it and there is/was a TSB that called out to replace all three parts.
Sounds like possibly the gears are grinding going on the 3-2 downshift. Did the tech drop the pan? If there are any metal flakes in the pan larger that dust or enough dust to cover hte palm of your hand, I'd be leaning towards a rebuid/reman unit.
