my firebreather was punched .060 over, mopar performance mid-range cam, decked block, milled down, ported and polished head with oversize valves. offy manifold, carter 500cfm carb and 2 3x2 headers... plenty fast, lots of torque and still streetable

I've been thinking along the same lines. I was concidering a super high compression and e-85 fuel but that stuff just doesn't stay at a stable price, so maybe regular gas is what is appropriate today. There are many parts available for the leaning tower of power. Just need to look around. All the old hot rod tricks will work. There are /6 specific sites, might wanna look into that as well. I have a /6 727 from an old pick up and will be using that as well. Probably gonna use a stripper Fury as I already have it, so it would be worth using. If starting over from scratcg I would put it in the smallest lightest body I could find that was not a rust bucket. |

Some food for thought;
Chrysler made a performance kit for this motor called the hyper-pak http://www.allpar.com/mopar/hyper-pak.html here's one being raced in an 80's pick up. http://www.allpar.com/racing/engle-pix.html |
Your guys' thoughts on this? Stock 318 bolt on performance modifications

Why are you asking ?
Two very old threads with a very common topic, I don't understand. |
If you have questions about the 318 please start a thread with your questions, this is a /6 thread.
