ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 42nd annual NHRA SuperNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 7.642/127.63, Now #2
Right Lane: Frank Gugliotta Runs 6.734/207.46, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 81 degrees, relative humidity 25 percent, barometer 29.95 inches, adjusted altitude 1,850 feet, track temperature 124 degrees.

Gaydosh Jr. making his first run this season. Gaydosh Jr. was out of the groove early and got real close to the out boundry line, but keep it off it. Gugliotta with a good pass to start the weekend. Frank Gugliotta's incremental times: 60ft-1.030 sec., 330ft-2.845, 660ft-4.349/163.47 mph, 1,000ft-5.645.

Left Lane: Robert Patrick Runs 11.404/77.46, Now #4
Right Lane: Bob Benza Runs 6.717/202.52, Now #1

Patrick shook and pushed in the clutch right off the starting line. Benza with a clean pass...

Left Lane: Steve Kent Runs 7.935/122.49, Now #5
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.648/210.14, Now #1

Kent with problems and pushed in the clutch early. Johnson launched hard and keep it hooked up with a real nice pass. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.015 sec., 330ft-2.811, 660ft-4.296/165.78 mph, 1,000ft-5.573.

Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.641/210.67, Now #1
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 16.617/49.21, Now #8

Morgan shook right off the starting line and clicked it off. WJ with a great pass...Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.012 sec., 330ft-2.811, 660ft-4.293/166.31 mph, 1,000ft-5.568.

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.989/206.54, Now #6
Right Lane: Ronnie Humphrey Runs 6.573/212.26, Now #1

Gaines made a quick move toward the centerline, but reeled it in. Humphrey launched hard and was straight down the groove with a great pass. Ronnie Humphrey's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.778, 660ft-4.246/167.86 mph, 1,000ft-5.509.

Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.536/212.29, Now #1
Right Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.560/211.06, Now #2

This was a great side-by-side drag race...Ron Krisher's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.213/167.84 mph, 1,000ft-5.474.
Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.750, 660ft-4.220/167.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.489. After the run Krisher's right front tire went flat and he did a great job getting the car stopped.

Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.538/211.89, Now #2
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.566/211.49, Now #4

Another really good drag race. Johnson goes to the number two spot. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.743, 660ft-4.209/167.57 mph, 1,000ft-5.473. Enders goes to the number four spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.231/167.38 mph, 1,000ft-5.498.

Left Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 10.848/81.59, Now #14
Right Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.563/211.63, Now #4

nobile was real loose right off the starting line and pushed in the clutch. Brogdon was straight down the groove. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.229/167.66 mph, 1,000ft-5.496.

Left Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.538/211.79, Now #3
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.567/210.24, Now #7

Edwards with a real nice pass and ties A. Johnson with second quickest pass of the session. He will give up the number two spot base on mph. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.972 sec., 330ft-2.738, 660ft-4.207/167.51 mph, 1,000ft-5.472. Stanfield with a good pass. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.224/167.12 mph, 1,000ft-5.494.

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.548/211.26, Now #5
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.533/211.93, Now #1

Line with a great pass to go to the number one spot...Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.209/168.32 mph, 1,000ft-5.469. Anderson with a good pass to open up the weekend and he goes to the number five spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.748, 660ft-4.215/167.68 mph, 1,000ft-5.480.

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 42nd annual NHRA SuperNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 13.772/62.11, Now #20; Best prior run: 16.617/49.21, Was #20
Right Lane: Robert Patrick Runs 15.998/51.59, Now #19; Best prior run: 11.404/77.46, Was #19

6:52 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 77 degrees, relative humidity 27 percent, barometer 29.94 inches, adjusted altitude 1,563 feet, track temperature 97 degrees.

Morgan launched and the rear end of his car got lost. He backed off the throttle. Patrick clicked his car off right away too, after his car shook the rear tires coming off the starting line.

Left Lane: Frank Gugliotta Runs 14.309/59.39, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.734/207.46, Was #14
Right Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.527/211.89, Now #1; Best prior run: 10.848/81.59, Was #18

Gugliotta's car made a move to the right as soon as he launched. Nobile moved to the top of the order with a good run right down the groove.

Left Lane: Bob Benza Runs 6.632/209.36, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.717/202.52, Was #14
Right Lane: Steve Kent Runs 8.975/104.25, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.935/122.49, Was #18

Benza made it into the top 12 for now. Kent's car was a little loose and not as quick as in the first session. Bob Benza is on the bump spot at 6.632.

Left Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 11.760/75.17, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.648/210.14, Was #14
Right Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 6.790/201.67, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.642/127.63, Was #17

Johnson launched and his car moved toward the center line. Gaydosh was not as quick as in the first session. Neither driver made the top 12. Bob Benza is on the bump spot at 6.632.

Left Lane: Ronnie Humphrey Runs 7.413/183.87, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.573/212.26, Was #11
Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.571/211.20, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.989/206.54, Was #17

Gaines went down the groove to make it into the top 12. In doing so, he pushed Benza out of the top 12 and Humphrey onto the bump spot 6.573.

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.532/210.93, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.567/210.24, Was #10
Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.624/210.97, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.641/210.67, Was #14

Johnson car wiggled coming out of the gate. He did not make it into the top 12. Stanfield took his car down the groove and into the number two spot in the order. Ronnie Humphrey is on the bump spot at 6.573.

Left Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.510/211.93, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.566/211.49, Was #10
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.517/212.06, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.548/211.26, Was #7

Enders took over the top spot with a very good run. Her 60-foot time was 0.964 seconds. Anderson put himself in the number two spot in the order with his run. Ronnie Humphrey is on the bump spot at 6.573.

Left Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.511/211.66, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.563/211.63, Was #10
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 13.625/50.81, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.538/211.79, Was #8

Edwards had a slow start and gave up on this run right away. Brogdon moved up eight spots with a strong pass down the track.

Left Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.510/212.46, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.560/211.06, Was #10
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.514/212.53, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.538/211.89, Was #8

Gray moved to the top of the order. Johnson moved up four spots.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.517/212.19, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.533/211.93, Was #8
Right Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.523/213.03, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.536/212.29, Was #9

Line moved up three spots, Krisher two with a pair of good runs.

Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.562/210.57, Now #14; Best prior run: 21.838/35.15, Was #19

Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 38 percent, barometer 29.97 inches, adjusted altitude 1,737 feet, track temperature 104 degrees.

Morgan with a little wiggle right at the hit, but reeled it in to get in the show. Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.973 sec., 330ft-2.745, 660ft-4.218/166.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.490.


Left Lane: Frank Gugliotta Runs 14.451/48.40, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.665/208.30, Was #17

Gugliotta chattered the tires right off the starting line and he won't get in the show. Patrick spun the tires right at the hit and he won't make the show.

Johnson with his quickest pass of the weekend, but he will not get in the show. Benza with another good pass, but will not improve and will start on Sunday. Bob Benza's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.239/165.78 mph, 1,000ft-5.514.

This is the first time Nobile and Humphrey have faced each other in eliminations. Nobile with the starting line advantage and never trailed as Humphrey pushed the clutch in early.

Edwards had problems with his first burnout, and went back to the water and got a good burnout the second time. Edwards is 1 - 0 against Nobile in prior events. Nobile is out of the gate first and never trailed as Edwards had problems as soon as he let the clutch out.
