1971 318 Exhaust rotators?
Hi all. I have a 1971 318 engine and I was doing some work on it, replacing gaskets valve stemn seals etc. I noticed the Rotators on the exhaust valves approx 50% of them are not functioning properly. (I am able to spin them either direction VS only one direction on good ones). Does anyone know wnat the part # is on these or if I am even able to replace them with new ones?
I have done a few searches etc with no luck and I am almost ready to put my engine back together so I need to get this figured out.
I had the same things on my 74 Powerwagon but I do not remember any of them being bad on it..
I do know the wrecking yards around here sell complete heads only they do not let ya purchase springs etc.

I gotta admit this is news to me but I usually work on older heads. Where are these rotators, under the valve spring? I didn't know a valve needed to be rotated. I will be watching this to learn more. I have a few heads from the 70's, more from '68 laying around, maybe you could use some if they are good. How would I test them?
