2001 Caravan - Wiring Trailer Harness
Hi Everyone,
I recently had a trailer hitch put on my Caravan. I just went and picked up the correct 4 wire electrical harness so I can properly tow my trailer with lights/signals.
The wiring sounds pretty basic:
white = ground
brown = tail light
yellow = left turn/stop signal
green = right turn/stop signal
When I pull off my rear light assembly the only power connector coming to the unit has 4 wires in the harness. My question - to hook up my yellow or green wires (which go to the turn/stop signal wire), is there an individual wire responsible of those 4, or do I need to splice into all 4 wires coming to the rear light assembly?
Also - my tail light is on my rear door latch, so the wiring to it comes from the 'top of the rear' door - is there an easier place to find where I can splice into that wire?
I tried searching on google, and within these forums - but could not answer the specific questions above.
Any feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Deuce

i hate saying this but its easier to get a wiring harness from the dealer as they are just a plug and play setup. i have seen a lot of aftermarket harnesses mess up a whole tail light.
if you do use that wiring kit that you got, each wire will have to be spliced into the proper wires.
