76 Volare Roadrunner

Hi Folks - I could use some help troubleshooting an ignition problem. I have to hold the key forward in order for the engine to fire and staying running.

I have replaced the ignition lock Tumblr and the ignition switch but still having the same issue.

See video and please advise! Car has been sitting for over 20 years and I am trying to tinker with it to get it going again.

Check the ballast resistor out. Put the ignition switch to the run position and make sure you have voltage to both sides. One side will have a lower voltage. If not, change the resistor. If you have voltage on both sides, then check for voltage at the coil. If not, check the wiring from the resistor to the coil.
