I am doing away with the contact point style regulator and installing the external (electronic) regulator. I'm about done, got the new alternator and regulator mounted and new wires run my question is this. I am going from one field wire to two, I have a blue and green wire and need to know which one goes where on the back of the alternator or does it even matter (I'm thinking not) could some one look at the back of there alternator and tell which color wire is connected to the field terminal closest to say the battery output wire.
