header fitment issues!?!

good evening everyone.
im trying to install a set of heddman headers on my 1971 chrylser 300,
after about 6 hours today with various positions and removal of starter/moving motor like they recommended, moved steering linkage/bent headers. there is no way they will fit. these are brand new and i have no idea what to do.
any suggestions?

Yes,headers are a b***ch. The front end has to be jacked up pretty high, they do fit,I have Heddman's on my 440 cuda.remove the motor mount bolts and jack the motor up a couple of inches. also once you have them in position put the starter back in if you took it out, before you bolt the headers down as the headers will capture a stock starter.
Just take your time. If still having trouble take some pics of the problem areas and post them, there are some good people here who can help.

good luck, john

Are there any pictures, and what headers did you use. Putting headers in a c-body is not an easy fit. I would love to see your set-up. Thinking about headers for my 68 c-body.
