I'm a new member here, and posting a question for my father-in-law (who is without a computer). Please forgive my ignorance--he's the car guy, not me.

He bought a 1973 Satellite (318, automatic) which had no wire from the oil sending unit on the engine block. He cannot tell where the wire is supposed to come from -- a wire harness or straight out of the firewall.

Before he starts messing around in the wire harness, he wanted to know for certain where the wire is supposed to be.

If anybody can help, it would be much appreciated! Obviously descriptions are great, and a photo/diagram would be even better.
