The truck and Ramcharge frames for the motor area are the same so everything should just bolt right together.

Swapping from a slant 6 to a small block V8 will be noticable. These are pretty heavy trucks for a 6 cylinder. Depending if hte motor is TBI or carb, you may want to add on some performance upgrades (headers, intake, carb, pulleys, etc.) while swapping the V8 in.

Tim, I thought the slant six k`s on the trucks were like the cars, and you needed an adapter kit. So the 6 mounts are square blocks like the 8`s and you can just use the 8 mounts on the saddle?

The rubber mounts are different but the mounts that are welded/pop rivited to the frame are the same. At least the ones on my old 85 D100 were and that was the same frame that was used from 1972 til 1993 [they changed the body style but not the frame between the third (1972-1980) and fourth generations(1981-1993).]
