Rebuild vs. replacement
I was reading up on richinny's post about reading manuals (so true by the way) and it got me to thinking. Before I make a decision about restoring Old Red's engine, tranny and transfer case, I should read up on the options available in a rebuild for all these. Old Red is my 1989 W-150 with a 318 c.i. 727 automatic trans (I think). I hope to begin the rebuild/replacement next fall. Does anyone have any suggestions for some nightstand reading in the meantime?

There is a series of books called "How to hot rod....." there is one for sb mopes that I know of. They are written by folks in their field of knowledge. I keep my reference manuals next to the can, I get more peace there! Thank you for taking rich's advice. My favorite saying is from a female friend of mine in the army, "Library cards are FREE, you have NO excuses!"
