Question Roof replacement

Ok gang, since I'm laid off now its time to start those labor intensive/low projects. My 74 RR with factory sunroof had a soft rollover before I bought it. There was alot of ripples in the sheetmetal and some bending of the structure underneath. I have another sunroof top ready to go. Should I just reskin it and try to straighten the supports or try to replace the entire roof? How does one support the shell if you cut the whole top off? Especially how do you measure to make sur the new roof is square before welding?

How ironic you're a roofer. What about supporting the unibody?
