shocks

hi,
new to the forum and just bought a 1983 d150 short bed with a slant 6 and auto trans. of course the first project is to lower it!
i have ordered the a100 control arms for the front and the axle flip kit for the rear. i have 2 questions. is there anything else i might need and what shocks should i use?
thanks for any and all info. i'm new to this and any info would be great!

The low budget way on the rear shocks would be to use A,B or F body shocks because they are 2” shorter than the truck’s. It’s just the reverse of what I did on my Volare back in the 80s, I installed truck shocks for the extra 2” of separation allowed by the longer shocks.

I take this back for a flip kit if stock shock mounts or locations are used then stock length shocks are required.
