Window Frame rot. advice

I am new to the forum i have a 71 charger. i just picked it up the other day and stripped it all down. I am going to start getting rid of the rot around the window frame, but to fix it i need the help on. I know you can patch weld it and everything then do you bondo over that ? or if its abunch of tiny tiny spots can you just bondo over that with metal wire behind it? i know the window takes on a lot of force so i heard even using bondo is a bad idea. Just need some advice of how i should repair this so i can put in the new windshield.
Thanks and ill post some pictures of the build so far soon

The best bet is to replace rust with metal. Make many small patches, it's easier than trying to match all the odd angles involved. Bondo has no structural strength and can fall out if not done right. Bondo is for filling small pits in metal, not replacing metal. Hope this helps.

Don't use bondo, use something like duraglass or all metal, that has a fiberglass base and is more water resistant. Just in case there are pinholes in your welds, you want some sort of waterproofing there. Personally, I'd recommend the All Metal filler.
