Hey Mopar brothers/sisters..

I'm about to dive into replacing both of my 1/4 panels with FULL 1/4's (because my current quarters are wavy.. krinkled..just plain nasty up to the top).. My question is should I fork out the money and have a body shop do it for me or is it something I can do without relative stress/mess? Is there anyone that has done this type of work before? I've replaced the quarters before but just partial skins... I want the full replacements this time.

I was figuring to get the full 1/4's in place and then take it to a body shop to complete the filler work where the welds are.. Any advice on this type of work? Thanks so much for your time and tips..

if you have doubts that you can do it yourself take it to a shop that has all of the equipment need to do it right or do it yourself and then pay some to fix it if you screw it up. it's always better to be safe than sorry and make sure it is done right the first time.

if you coundnt do the skins no way can u do a full qtr

i worked in a restoration body shop for over 10 yrs there's allot to correct body work
if you can afford it take it to a shop at least for wat you cant do
if you are going to install the quarters your self there are many steps and correct methods to achieve this

Before you rip the quarters off you need to make sure the car is square & frame is straight.. with some support bars welded in to keep it straight

I agree, this is a tough job and something you want done right. I'm willing to tackle almost any job on my cars myself, but this is something I'd leave to the pros. If you don't have the money now, wait until you do.
