1970 gtx question

1970 gtx question

Hi, does anybody know if the 1970 GTX does or did come with factory air and automatic trans on the floor not on the column? I've only seen them with 4 speed with air, and auto trans on column with air......thanks, Chris.

As far as I know, the only way you could get A/C in a 70 GTX was with an auto trans- wasn't available with a 4-speed. Floor or column didn't matter.

I had a '70 GTX in the 80s. You could get anything you wanted pretty much as an option. AC, automatic console and shifter, or on the tree. And of course a 4spd if you wanted it. For some reason back then a lot of people preferred column shift. BUT what good was that with bucket seats?? Never understood it.
