1971 Road runner

Hello,
I am new on here so its taking me some time to get around, I was wondering if anyone would know how rare a 3 speed manual 383 car with bench seat is? Also if anyone would be interested in buying the car. It is defently a project car. The interior is there but ragged out (missing radio), the car is complete and numbers matching. It came from Cal. The side windows are busted out and the front drivers side fender has been replaced. Someone backed into and the guy replaced the fender. It has a few dings here and there but no major body work it dont think. It has a little cancer on the drivers side quarter but other than that it looks half way decent. By that i dont mean slap some tires on it and drive it around because like i said its a project car. The guy said it will start and run if you put a battery in it and the car has 50,000 miles showing. If anyone can help and would be interested please let me know. I would really like to know what this car is worth and if it really is rare.

It should be either a an auto, or a 4 speed.. Don't think they made a 383 71 bird with a 3 on the tree.

Most likely has 150,000 miles.

I'd say its not RARE, but its not COMMON. Sounds like this is a mass project... $2000 tops is my guess.

But w/o pics its anyones guess

Rare does not equal valuable so watch what you spend. The tree speed cars were available but were not the normal manual trans. The tree speed was a cheaper price model. It was a car that could be advertised at a low, low price and when people come in to look at the car, the salesman would up sell them to a four speed, or automatic. This is a case where swapping out the three speed to a four speed, would make the car more valuable and a better car to drive and enjoy. (even if it was a numbers matching trans)

Remember not all cars are worth saving. some NEED to be parts cars.
