Unless the guy throws his Camaro into reverse, or wipes out halfway down the track, you are gonna get destroyed, big time. I've seen road tests of stock SS Camaros turning high 12s @ 111 mph, I know it sucks to hear, but it's just the facts. If you've got a buddy with a new Viper, nows the time to hit him up for a small favor!

HP in this case means nothing. What you want to look at is torque. The more torque you can get to the wheels and get that to hookup, the better off you are. Those numbers for the camaro are probably at the crank too.

I will have to agree with 67GTX here. To get that number you will be looking at a bit of laughing gas and even then the camaro might be laughing at you. Sorry but you know what they say - displacement displacement displacement. There is no substitution for cubic inches. Plus you are giving up almost 300 hp!!!

if you're bracket racing, you should take him, but in a heads up, run what you brung, I think you're gonna get beat. The 6 spd is going to make him inconsistent if it's anything like my Challenger, and he's going to fluctuate about .4 sec per pass. Make sure you get some good time trials, and don't line up beside him at all till the real races start and you get your handicap.
