1987 Ram w150 Exhaust
Good evening everyone. Im new to this forum so please cut me some slack if i sound like a noob. I have a 1987 ram w150. it has a 5.2l 318 engine and i have recently put a THRUSH GLASSPACK on it. The sound wasnt really what i was looking for, i want louder. I have everything stock, cat, etc, and just a glasspack. Is there any thing that could be chopped off to make the truck louder. PS Im 16 and still learning, anything helps. Thanks in advance.

Ya... The cat kind of takes away from it.... Don't go getting in trouble if you need to smog it By cutting it out.... Might check into a Higher flow system?

In my state (NC) my truck doesnt need any smog testing i could run the truck open header and be fine, but i do appreciate the concern sir. So if you had it what would you think was better to get a thrush high flow cat or just completely hack it off the truck. I mean does one have any performer gain over the other. I mean this rig is suffocated with emissions im trying to get rid of the lean burn as well. i have a 1991 ram d150 with open headers, and a 2000 ram with flowmasters so this 87 was alot to quite for me. Like i stated above I am young and still learning as i go. Thanks for the help sir....

Not having to smog is good... if you dont mind the check engine light being on... Daul exhaust would be good.... 2-1/2" tubing should do you good... For loudness... Use short and Flow threw... That will be just shy of a straight pipe...
Remember, with the O2's not in the system anymore. It's going to run in what is called "Limp Mode", But you night have already know that?...
