Hi,

My 5.7 Hemi has a hole in the side of the block, been searching for a replacement and have had sticker shock, what year 5.7 would be compatible with my 03, what about a 5.9 swap would that be a big hassle? 5.9 motors are cheap, had one in an 03 1500 had lots of power but mileage was not that great< Thanks

 

I'm not sure if the bell housing bolt pattern are the same between the two motors, but I know that the wiring is not and that you would need a new PCM. I'd keep looking or start building one.

Did you lose a rod?

 

I think the bell housing bolt pattern is the same.. But not 100% sure....
