2010 Chrysler 300 Touring Signature Series - Overly-Sensitive Steering...

Hello Everyone…

This is my first post. I have enjoyed reading the different threads and getting cool ideas for my 300… Thanks…

But, today I have a question for the group, and I’m hoping someone can help…

I bought a 2010 Chrysler 300 Touring Signature Edition (CoolVanilla) about 6 months ago and I really love her… She’s a solid car with low miles and she runs great… Except…

When I drive on the freeway the steering is super sensitive… The car runs straight & true and the steering is tight with no play in the wheel…

But when I turn the wheel, more than just a tiny amount, the car reacts immediately, and everyone can feel it… Then, of course, I have to correct it in the other direction, and it jerks & sways the other way…

Once I get it straight again, it’s rock solid and straight as an arrow… Everything seems tight and the steering mechanism turns smooth and easy in both directions…No noise, squeaks, clunks, leaks, or anything…

Is there a steering dampener that could be bad?...
Could weak shock absorbers cause this?...

Does anyone know of a fix for this?...
