318 to 440 swap

I'm new to the mopar world myself, I have a 92 dodge w150 4x4 I'm looking to swap out the 318 and replace it with a 440 I have, i was told.the 440 is a 75-78 era engine, wondering what all i would need to make this work and how much of a hassle it would be to get it done

A 440 swap involves a motor transmission swap if automatic or a bellhousing swap if manual transmission. Then you get into a compatibility issue with old and new.
I think the best way is to build a larger small block.

Find some 400 iron manifolds. Fit really nice. Don’t try it with the RV manifolds. You’ll be cutting your frame.....

in cars i think the k-member becomes an issue as well? not sure in trucks, honestly... plus, with that era 440 you may not gain any power over the 318 lol! still, sounds fun and i hope ya keep us updated.
