Thumbs up 318 tbi to carb conversion?

Hey all, new to this forum. Im close to pulling the trigger on a ‘90 w150 with the 4 speed manual and tbi318. I want to swap out the tbi system for a good old carburetor, but im not sure exactly what I would need. Fuel pump? Distributer? I posted this in the DIY section, im hoping it may get more attention here.

I'd be tempted to use the stock fuel pump with a ajustable return regulator for a carb.

I did this with a 1992 and Tom is right. I ran two fuel lines up the left frame rail and mounted the regulator just under the brake power booster. Wiring is a bitch, I spent a lot of time trying to incorporate the computer and charging system into the change, DON"T. I put and old style alternator with regulator in and the computer stayed in just to run the dash gauges. The three relays I switched around so it would start like an older vehicle, key on powers relay to start fuel pump and power a ballast resistor, key start powers relay to start starter and 12 volts to coil, basic stuff.

The 4 speed manual makes this much easier. We had autos, Magnum 5.2's, and finished with a nice 318 + .030" with a manual 4 speed O.D. and hydraulic clutch. Removed the rusty box and built a flatbed, put in a Auburn LSD and changed the 3.91 to a 3.55 in the 9 1/4 rear axle. That was a great POS hard working truck, I loved that thing man.
