360 idles smooth then i put in gear it stalls?!?!?!

360 idles smooth then i put in gear it stalls?!?!?!

My 360 was running ok when i first got it,now when its running and i go to put it in either drive or reverse it stalls! any suggestions

I'm just going to guess it is a mid 70s model. I'd like to hear suggestions on this as well.

First guess would be to look for a vacuum leak. Then timing (less likely), then make sure your carb's circuits are clear.

you know what,you hit it dead on the head,i just remember when i was doing the timing i forgot to hook the vac advance up,and some other ones! smh thank you

thats crazy though because i had just did the timing,was happy it was running good and for got the vacs! LOL thanks alot
