Unhappy 94 dodge ram 1500 5.9 4x4 stalls when put in gear

I HAVE A 94 DODGE 1500 5.9 4X4 THAT STALLS WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. I CAN START IT UP AND IT IDLES FINE BUT WHEN I PUT IT INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE IT DIES. IT HAS NEW CAP & ROTOR, WIRES, PLUGS, CLUTCH SOLENOID, I'VE CLEANED THE IAC AND THE PORT IN THE TB, TESTED THE MAP SENSOR (IT'S WORKING), CHECKED FOR VACCUM LEAKS. IM STARTING TO GET WITH THIS THING! I'VE OWNED 2 OTHER DODGES, A 95 1500 5.9 2WD AND A 2002 1500 4.7 2WD AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. PLEASE!!!!! I NEED HELP WITH THIS ONE!!!

Have you checked fuel pressure and regulator operation?

did you swap 5 and 7 wires on the cap install?
Does rotor tip touch cap center? Cap seated correctly?
What is the vacuum at idle?
did you loosen or rotate the distributer? More that 1/4 inch will put the fire cycle of the injectors off.
lastly check primary and secondary voltage of coil. The coils are poorly designed and if it did idle and now wont, and wont fire look there first.

You have to be careful when cleaning the IAC and port. I've seen guys in the dealer get a perfectly running vehicle in, perform a tune-up, clean the IAC and then get a check engine light.

i have a similar problem, but only with reverse and after it has sat for a good 10 + minutes. On mine, i'm having fluid drain out of the torque converter, so if i start it, i need to put it in neutral for 10 seconds before shifting into gear. This is because our transmissions do not cycle fluid in park.

Clutch switch? So the truck is stick shifted? Try 5th gear, does it stall? Sounds like a dragging clutch to me, or the aic.
