how much is too much? i am at about 45-50 at idle and been around 82psi cruising but today it hit 90 psi. i can not find anything that tells me what too much is. A friend told me 100 psi and it will blow the gaskets and seals out. Help?

 

Your relief valve must be stuck. I think you need to remove the oil pump to get to it (?) I have never needed to access the relief valve of the oil pump. How much is too much? I think the pressure gage may go first.

 

90 lbs under pressure i think is okay

If its at 90 lbs at idle, then i'd imagine you got some problems
