440 Wt

I am taking the 440 out of my Coronet and was wondering how heavy it is...The resone is my freind has a Engine stand that is rated for 1000lbs and said he would give it to me, He bought it and did not use it and still sits in his garage,,,,,So does my 440 wt that much or about 650-700 lbs

You will be fine with that engine stand. Make sure to use grade eight bolts when attaching it to the stand.

BE careful depending on if it is a 3 leg or 4 leg stand. Either one will work...

Weighs 670lbs, I thought it would be more then that like around 850. I got mine on a 3leg 1000lb stand but it's leaning forward, so I bought a 2000lb stand from Jegs today for $100 just to be safe.

Is that fully dressed, ie. Iron heads, manifolds, carb, accessories, etc.? I've always wondered how much this all weighs.

we have always used a piece of wood to support the front of the engine when torquing down bolts, we never liked the "bounce", so if it was stored over night or if we where working on it we would prop the front with a 2x4 just to be safe. watch those toe's.
