This car had a pin-stripe down the side , we know that is was black, but don't know if it was flat, satin or something else. Anyone have knowledge about this. Thanks---

Just Guessing i would say it would be a satin/matte finish, but I have no real clue. If you are trying to restore one exact, all I can say is dig dig dig for info. I had never heard of the Silver Special and as far as I know had never seen one, but it IS a Sweet looking ride in that color combo. MAYBE some one can find/knows for sure. Dont know if the fendertag decoding would give a hint either on the 'finish' of the stripe, unless it has a paint code itself.

Thanks, it had an all original body and interior--it is being painted this weekend.

We had it decoded by Govier, but, it doesn't say any thing about the paint for the stripe. I agree, it was probably a satin finish. I will keep looking, maybe the Chrysler Historical Society?? It is an all original body and interior--being painted this weekend. Thanks for your help.
