67 dodge a100

Hey all, REALLY new to the forum and just had a few questions hopefully someone could give some thoughts and insight on.

I recently stumbled upon a 67 dodge a100 van, 318, 3 on the tree, Inside has front buckets, basically bare metal throughout the whole interior, BUT VERY NICE condition inside. exterior is in pretty good condition, lower body has some (very minimal) rust, upper body is in great shape with original paint. Under carriage looks pretty nice to for the age. 78k original miles, one owner, but not running. everything seems to be there.

I didn't get a real good chance to look it over, and know very little about them. But I kinda fell in love with it. I was just hoping someone, perhaps a fanatic of these vans could give a little insight.

I have no intentions of turning it into a show stopper, or the fastest thing around. I just want a cruiser, load a ton of people in, road trip, and look cool as hell doing it........I kinda think this van would fill the spot?

some questions:
anything special to look for that may be a deal breaker before I drop the on it?

are some of these more valuable/desirable than others?

any other tips, tricks, information, knowledge would be helpful, Ive searched the web and haven't come up with to much info

I had an early 60's back in the 80's with a 6 cylinder and the only thing I can remember is that the column shift bushings went bad and broke the bracket that worked the shift arms so I put a floor shift in to it.

Thanks guys that's the kind of stuff I like to hear. 62furious, Ive already thought about putting a floor shift in, and I don't even own the thing yet. I am not a mechanic by any means but I like to do like stuff like that to make it stand out a little, plus a floor shift is just more comfortable to me.

Floor shift is not a bolt in !!!! Motor between the seats, trans is way in the back. Anything would be custom. Now a floor shifter with an auto would be much easier.
